Three thousand years ago, a bloody cult sacrifice tore open the Hell Gate, unleashing a Fiend War that devoured mortals and gods alike. The war ended when the Elder Gods intervened, sealing the gate—mostly. Exhausted and diminished, the pantheon retreated to slumber, leaving the planar wall sundered, the laws of life and death broken, and the demonic threat only partially contained.

A Game of Thrones and Steam

The brittle peace is held by the Richtovens Dynasty from the capital, Richtovia, seeking control over the Nine Kingdoms.
